The Tree of Life

Bonaventure intended his The Tree of Life as an aid to prayer. This republication of Ewert Cousins's translation returns the text to its original purpose. Follow the life of Christ through a series of forty-eight meditations beautifully illustrated with medieval images. Updated notes, a new introduction, and musical notation for the hymn Bonaventure wrote to help recall the chapters of the text also enhance this edition.
