For one week in the depths of winter, David Miller lived alongside Britain’s toughest ultramarathon, the Montane Winter Spine Race. With a Leica Q3 in hand, he followed the 268-mile Pennine Way from Edale to Kirk Yetholm, photographing far more than a race. SPINE is a visual journey through isolation, resilience and the quiet moments that exist between hardship and hope. It is a portrait of a landscape, an event and the people who pass through it.
