Description
Nargess is living in a nightmare. Recently diagnosed with motor neurone disease, her beloved father has died all too suddenly, and the circumstances are strange. Her father had summoned Nargess, her mother, and his best friend Dr Baker to Miami, to spend some meaningful time together. Nargess flew to Miami from New York and found her father still cheerful. He told Nargess he had five years. And he said he had something important to tell her - he was just waiting for the right moment. But then, one evening, Nargess went out with Dr Baker - louche, predatory, irresistible - while Nargess's mother stayed at home. When they returned, Nargess's father was dead. Was it really suicide, as her mother insists? If it wasn't, how far would Nargess go to protect her? And what was the secret that her father wanted to tell her?
