In his wonderful collection of short stories, he tells us about other `Worlds'. His Stories are disparate; although, without exception, they are authoritatively informative, and sometimes they are inevitably dramatic. From desert locust plagues in the Horn of Africa, to the Indian Caste System, to skiing in `Heaven', his range of knowledge and vision seems limitless. But however incredible the circumstances in which he finds himself, his feet remain firmly on the ground, down to earth.
