Music Nights are back!

Though they’ll look a little different this year. First of all, they’ve had a name change to Backstory Summer Sessions, which we think just has a bit more oomph to it. We’re also now asking you to book your spot in advance, costing £5, which just helps us to get a better idea of numbers and to support our wonderfully talented artists. Doors will open from 6pm for drinks (and nibbles) with the music beginning at 7pm.

Speaking of…here’s our Summer Sessions lineup:

Thursday 6th June, 7pm - Lionhaire

Lionhiare is a British singer-songwriter, who was born in the UK but spent her childhood in Paris. Growing up between the two countries has had an influence on her music, as she flips casually between the languages to tell her story. Now back in the U.K. based in London. You’ll find Lionhaire on stage in the big city  writing & performing her feelings with her guitar. A gifted guitar player, she’s added her smooth vocals which carry echoes of Lauryn Hill.

Thursday 20th June, 7pm - James Or

James Or is an Irish singer-songwriter. His music is beautifully melodic and introspective, drawing from the same wells as compatriot Glen Hansard and Elbow’s Guy Garvey. James’, has been praised for its authenticity, earning him numerous plaudits, including include a place on Irish music bible Hotpress’s ‘Ones to Watch’ listings.

Thursday 4th July, 7pm - Harriet Perring

Harriet Perring is a singer songwriter. She's loved performing since she was a young girl and has been writing for just as long! She's heavily influenced by country writers (such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers), and elements of that style work its way into nearly all of her music. She's going on to do her masters in songwriting and music production in September to focus completely on her music, and she's incredibly excited to get started.

Thursday 18th July, 7pm - Matilda Gracia

Matilda Gracia is a half Irish, half Spanish singer-songwriter, musician, and producer based in London. She intricately intertwines introspection, female empowerment, and the essence of the human experience in her evocative music. Influenced by the likes of KT Tunstall, Nina Simone, and Lianne La Havas, Matilda's songwriting prowess shines through in her alternative pop compositions, which are characterised by soulful rock vocals, dark folk-inspired melodies, and a Spanish twist.
