Intended as an introduction for scientists and professionals working in drug discovery and deveopment, the first part of the book reviews recent therapy developments in diabetes and obesity treatment. The second part survey important drug classes, including both peptide drugs and small molecule drugs such as GLP-1 receptor agonists, GIP antagonists and poly-agonists. The last part of the book is devoted to selected case studies which provide insights into the discovery of recently approved drugs.
