Although spillways as such can be built with different types of structures and arrangements, the approach of this bulletin has been to retain some specific types of structures - step spillways, labyrinth spillways, PKW and tunnel spillways - and to analyze more conventional types of spillways operating under special conditions - very high flows, very high heads, very cold climates.   In each chapter, the topics covered focus on the major issues related to the specific problems and structures considered, with the goal of providing information to the designer and owner to assist in the choices to be made during project development.   Recent technological developments in the design, construction, and operation of spillways have focused primarily on economic and safety issues. Spillways are a key element of a dam project, providing the necessary protection of the project from the destructive effects of floods. This has led to the development of different approaches to selecting and defining the best type of spillway for each project. The purpose of this bulletin is to present and discuss the latest results of this evolution.   L'objectif du bulletin du est de fournir ? la communaut? des ing?nieurs des barrages une information sur les caract?ristiques techniques des diff?rents types d'?vacuateurs de crue d?velopp?s et impl?ment?s durant les quatre derni?res d?cennies, ainsi que des caract?ristiques hydrauliques associ?es ? ces structures.   Bien que les ?vacuateurs de crue, en tant que tels, peuvent ?tre construits avec diff?rents types de structures et de dispositions, l'approche de ce bulletin a ?t? de retenir certains types sp?cifiques de structures - ?vacuateurs de crue ? marche d'escalier, labyrinthes, PKW et ?vacuateurs de crue en tunnel, et d'analyser des types plus conventionnels d'?vacuateurs de crue op?rant dans des conditions sp?ciales - tr?s grands d?bits, tr?s haute chute, climat tr?s froid.   Dans chaque chapitre, les sujets trait?s se concentrent sur les principales questions concernant les probl?matiques et structures sp?cifiques consid?r?es, dans l'objectif de fournir des informations au concepteur du projet et au propri?taire, pour aider aux choix ? op?rer dans le cadre du d?veloppement du projet.   La r?cente ?volution des technologies en lien avec la conception, la construction et l'exploitation des ?vacuateurs de crue, s'est concentr?e essentiellement sur les sujets ?conomiques et de s?curit?. Les ?vacuateurs de crue sont un ?l?ment cl? d'un projet de barrage, pour assurer la protection n?cessaire du projet vis-?-vis de l'action destructrice des crues. Ceci a men? au d?veloppement de diff?rentes approches pour s?lectionner et d?finir le meilleur type d'?vacuateur pour chaque projet. Ce bulletin vise ? pr?senter et discuter les r?sultats les plus r?cents de cette ?volution.\u003cbr\u003eBinding: Paperback \/ softback","brand":"Gardners","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56368548905333,"sku":"9781041083788","price":82.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"url":"https:\/\/backstory.london\/products\/9781041083788","provider":"Backstory","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
