Significant remains  recorded at Moreton-in-Marsh include a Middle Bronze Age  settlement of four post-built circular structures partly enclosed  by a segmented ditch, and a series of medieval fields and  paddocks with a possible sheepcote structure. A Middle  Palaeolithic handaxe was also recovered.
