Big news: Jay Rayner is coming to Backstory! We’re very excited. The award-winning writer, broadcaster and Observer critic will be talking about his first cookbook, Nights Out At Home, in which he sets out to offer “delicious, doable recipes” inspired by some of his favourite restaurant dishes. Please note the earlier-than-usual start time!

With 60 recipes that take their inspiration from restaurants dishes served across the UK and further afield, Nights Out at Home includes a cheat’s version of :The Ivy’s famed crispy duck salad, The brown butter and sage flatbreads from Manchester’s Erst, The cult tandoori lamb chops from London’s Tayyabs - a recipe which has never been written down before!
